First Drive Review of the All New Maruti Suzuki Swift

We have reviewed the all new Maruti Suzuki Swift that is slated for launch on February 7 at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi. Based on the HEARTECT platform, the new Swift is a huge improvement over the previous one. It is lighter, sportier and offers better performance and economy. It is also more stylish and spacious. The all new Swift is available with the tried and tested 1.2-litre K12 VVT petrol engine and the 1.3 DDiS diesel and both have the option of a five-speed manual or an automated manual that Maruti Suzuki calls Auto Gear Shift (AGS). India’s most popular hatchback will take on the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Toyota Liva, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Bolt, Ford Figo, Nissan Micra and even the Baleno. Bookings are open already at Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships where the Swift can be booked for Rs 11,000.
